Bellingham Chamber Chorale presents its annual gala benefit auction, “LIVE & SINGIN’, celebrating American classics through cabaret music of the 1960s” gala benefit auction on Friday, March 15, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Bellingham Golf and Country Club, 3729 Meridian Street. Tickets for the event, which includes a multi-course dinner, fine wines, musical entertainment, and a silent and live auction, are $65 per person if purchased in advance and are available for purchase at brownpapertickets.com, Piper Music, Village Books, The Community Food Co-Op in Bellingham, and at The Noisy Neighbor in Lynden. Ticket prices rise to $70 per person at the door.
“Bellingham Chamber Chorale’s gala provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an intimate evening with some of our community’s most talented singers and performers,” according to BCC singer and Gala co-chair, Jill Clark. This year’s Gala, “LIVE & SINGIN’, celebrating American classics through cabaret music of the 1960s”, will transport guests to a 1960s-era New York City cabaret for an evening of music, mystery and song.
BCC’s 1960s-themed gala will transport gala guests to an elegant, upscale, New York City cabaret (think: party with Mad Men), and feature vocal tributes to some of the great composers, arrangers and musicals of the era including Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Henry Mancini, Stephen Sondheim and others. Likenesses of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin will be our hosts for the evening, invoking ‘The Rat Pack’s famous cabaret show, “LIVE & SWINGIN”. “The Prima Louie’s” live jazz quartet will accompany the vocalists and augment the evening with instrumentals.
Mystery and intrigue complement with evening with a visit from famous characters of 1960s spy movies, including . Well, you will just have to join us on March 15 as that is Top Secret information. In keeping with our growing reputation, you can expect wonderful entertainment as BCC members and friends regale you in song and music while you enjoy a multi-course wine-inclusive dinner and show support for BCC through live and silent auctions.
